Every year thousands of people flock to the Texas Hill Country for the Lodging, Restaurants, and activities. The summertime is perfect for tubing the Guadalupe, Comal Rivers, Lakes Mcqueeney, Placid, Dunlap, and Canyon, and to enjoy many other attractions offered year round. Currently we are the fastest growing lodging association in the Hill Country. We have good schools, a good year round climate, and a small-town community feel." Besides kayaking, tubing and swimming in summer, the Texas Hill Country offers year round activities such as golfing , festivals, antique shopping, Old Gruene Market Days, Christmas festivals such as Wassailfest, Cowboy Kringle in Gruene, and the Downtown Tree Lighting attract thousands eager to join the fun. Many "Winter Texans" and "Snow Birds" stay in the Texas Hill Country, attracted by the good weather, recreational activities in the area, and inexpensive restaurants and lodging. Texas Hill Country is popular with Corporate Housing Guests and Realtors seeking relocation services for their clients. The purpose of this Association is to preserve and promote the lodging industry in Texas Hill Country; to serve its members in all ways that are properly within the scope of a representative trade association; to advance and promote practical and fair cooperation with the Texas and United States Governmental agencies on behalf of the Association members; to advance and promote public relations in the interest of the industry; to encourage and uphold always a spirit of friendly, aggressive and reciprocal cooperation among the members of the Association; to enable those engaged in the lodging industry in the Texas Hill Country to better serve the public.
